Guenadi Amoachi, MD

Guenadi Amoachi, MDDr. Guenadi Amoachi has been an integral member of Radiology Associates of Wyoming Valley since 2005. He is a Board Certified Radiologist specializing in General Diagnostic Radiology. He performs minor procedures throughout the day and is highly trained and specialized in Breast Biopsies, including Stereotactic Breast Biopsies, MRI Guided Breast Biopsies and Ultrasound Guided Breast Biopsies. Dr. Amoachi received his MD from Chisinau State Medical Institute in Moldova and completed three residency programs in Nuclear Medicine, Surgery and Diagnostic Radiology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY. He resides in the Back Mountain with his family and has recently become a grandfather for the first time.

Joan Forgetta, MD

Joan Forgetta, MDDr. Joan Forgetta is the area’s only physician specializing solely in Nuclear Medicine and PET CT. She is a founding member of Radiology Associates of Wyoming Valley and provides Nuclear Medicine services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Dr. Forgetta is Board Certified and earned her specialty training in Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston, TX and at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. She has dedicated her 15 year career to Nuclear Medicine at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. During that time, she has seen the department grow to become the only dedicated Nuclear Medicine facility in the Wyoming Valley. In addition to routine studies, her department offers advanced technologies such as fusing imaging, lymph node mapping for breast cancer and melanoma, and PET/SPECT/CT. Her practice includes radioactive therapies for thyroid CA and benign thyroid disorders. Nuclear Medicine therapy is used as a palliative treatment for patients with metastatic bone disease and refractory lymphoma. This advanced, progressive department has been a benefit to the community for many years.

Gil Hoang, MD

Gil Hoang, MDDr. Gil Hoang has been an important part of the Interventional Radiology team with Radiology Associates of Wyoming Valley since 2007. He is a Board Certified Radiologist and earned his Medical Degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his Fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. During the day, Dr. Hoang can be found performing invasive procedures, minor procedures and reading diagnostic studies. Active with the Medical Staff, he currently serves on the Credentials Committee at Wilkes Barre General Hospital. He has a love for teaching and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine for the Commonwealth Medical College. In his spare time, you will find him very busy raising his three young children alongside his wife, Monica.

Satish D. Patel, MD

Satish D. Patel, MDDr. Satish Patel is an Interventional Radiologist and Chief of the Radiology Department at Wilkes Barre General Hospital. He spends most of his days performing minor and invasive procedures, consulting with clinicians and reading diagnostic studies. He is the current Past President of the Medical Staff and serves on various committees for the Hospital. Dr. Patel is a Board Certified Radiologist and earned his Medical Degree from Baroda Medical College, M.S. University in Vadodara, India. He completed a Fellowship in Neuroradiology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He is a founding member of Radiology Associates of Wyoming Valley and has lived in the area for over 25 years. Dr. Patel is an active member of the community and is passionate about radiology, his patients and their families.

Myron Y. Prawak, DO

Myron Y. Prawak, DODr. Myron Prawak has been a key member of the Diagnostic Radiology Team for Radiology Associates of Wyoming Valley since 2007. He completed his Fellowship program in Abdominal Imaging at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY and is Board Certified. Dr. Prawak takes particular interest in mammography and, when he is not reading diagnostic studies or performing minor procedures, you will find him working hard in the Women’s Imaging Center at the Thomas P. Saxton Pavilion. He and his wife, Larissa, reside in the Back Mountain with their twin children, Colin and Ella.

Ronald L. Richterman, MD

Ronald L. Richterman, MDDr. Ronald Richterman is a Board Certified Radiologist and a founding member of Radiology Associates of Wyoming Valley. He earned his Medical Degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY and completed a Fellowship program in Neuroradiology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. A dedicated member of our team, Dr. Richterman’s primary focus is General Diagnostics and performing minor procedures throughout the day. Most often, he can be found covering the weekend shifts at Wilkes Barre General Hospital. He has lived in the Back Mountain for over 20 years and has recently learned to play the viola and has become a running and cross fit enthusiast.

Kamal Sarada, MD

Kamal Sarada, MDDr. Kamal Sarada joined Radiology Associates of Wyoming Valley in 2007. Since that time, he has been an essential member of the Diagnostic Radiology Team. He earned his Medical Degree from Sri Venkateswara Medical College, S.V. University in Tirupati, India and was a Resident at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in New York City, where he was Chief Radiology Resident in his final year. He completed his Fellowship in Emergency and Trauma Radiology from the Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Sarada is Board Certified. Although his primary scope of practice is in General Radiology, one of Dr. Sarada’s main focuses is on radiation and contrast dose reduction, particularly in CT. He has been instrumental in this area and continues to work towards a goal of reducing radiation exposure while maintaining optimal imaging quality and ensuring patients’ needs are met. He is a family man and on his weekends off, you will usually find him enjoying time with his wife and daughter. He enjoys reading, watching movies and is an accomplished badminton player.

Ryan Withrow, MD

Ryan Withrow, MDDr. Ryan Withrow joined the Interventional Radiology team in 2013. He is a Board Certified Radiologist with a Medical Degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed a Vascular and Interventional Fellowship from Massachusetts General Hospital Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. As a member of our staff, Dr. Withrow performs invasive procedures, minor procedures and interprets diagnostic studies. The newest member of our team, he is already earning praise from the medical staff and his peers. Dr. Withrow is right at home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He is an avid skier, plays ice hockey and loves the outdoors. He and his wife Judy reside in the Back Mountain and have two small children.
